The Little Girl Who Loved Animals โ€“ 1

by Merry Monk

Once upon a time ๐Ÿ’ซ in a far away land called the Unicorn Kingdom ๐Ÿฆ„ there was a little girl ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿป who loved animals ๐Ÿฐ ๐Ÿ’• well, except that she didnโ€™t๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿผ

Since as far back as she could remember, she didnโ€™t like them at all. In fact, she was terribly frightened indeed ๐Ÿ˜ฑ of the dog ๐Ÿ• who lived on the neighbouring farm. Whenever the dog would bark, it made the little girlโ€™s heart jump ๐Ÿ˜ฏ and her knobbly knees wobble ๐Ÿฅบ Whenever the little girl saw any dog walking by the way ๐Ÿพ ๐Ÿ™…๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ she crossed over the street as quickly as she could ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ so she wouldnโ€™t have to be near it.

The little girl didnโ€™t understand why people liked being around animals ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธโ“ She knew she liked to eat them though ๐Ÿ˜ because her daddy ๐Ÿ‘ด๐Ÿผ gave her bites of chicken ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ— from his plate ๐Ÿฝ when they went out to village fairs ๐ŸŽช and visited other peopleโ€™s cottages in the land ๐Ÿ˜๏ธ

The little girlโ€™s mummy ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿผโ€๐Ÿฆณ however, already loved animals ๐Ÿ’• She never ever ate them and she never allowed them to be eaten at home. You see, she knew a ๐ŸŒŸspecial secret ๐ŸŒŸ about animals ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ’ซ that the little girl ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿป and her daddy ๐Ÿ‘ด๐Ÿผ didnโ€™t know yet. It wasnโ€™t the right time ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ for them.

When the little girl got a bit bigger ๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ she would visit the big fairs of Londinuim ๐ŸŽช with her friends, and they would eat animals together, lots of them, all kinds: ๐ŸŒญ pigs ๐Ÿฅ“ goats ๐Ÿ– baby lambs, cows ๐Ÿฅฉ even snails ๐ŸŒ frogs legs ๐Ÿธ and all kinds of birds ๐Ÿ— and ๐Ÿฆž sea creatures ๐Ÿค๐Ÿฃ The little girl thought they were so delicious, so yummy in her tummy. So the little girl did love animals, I suppose. Yes, she loved to eat them ๐Ÿคญ

She would dress up in her best dresses ๐Ÿ‘— and meet her friends in the most famous fairs in the whole wide world ๐ŸŒ places with Dish-ellin Stars ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ on the walls, where Queens ๐Ÿ‘‘ and Emperors โšœ๏ธ dined, and where oh so very important patrons ๐Ÿง paid handsomely, sometimes hundreds of gold sovereigns ๐Ÿ’ฐ to meet the best animals, served dead โ˜ ๏ธ on their plates, of course.

Then came the time when the little girl had to travel far, far away, across the seas โ›ต and skies ๐Ÿ›ซ to the mystical land of Bollyhood ๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿป ๐ŸŽฅ to earn some gold sovereigns ๐Ÿ’ฐ for herself. In this mystical land of Bollyhood, she saw that all her new friends ๐Ÿ‘ฌ๐Ÿ‘ซ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ญ loved animals ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ’•ย  Yes, they loved to eat them too ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ! The little girl was a little taken aback ๐Ÿ˜ฒ that they ate animals here because she thought the ancient books ๐Ÿ“œ of this land said that this land was holy ๐Ÿ˜‡ and that they didnโ€™t eat animals here๐Ÿ– ๐Ÿšซ But, oh well, they did, and so, she did too ๐Ÿฅฃ

The little girl ate many more animals until one night, until the night of her birthday ๐ŸŽ‚๐ŸŽ‰ and the time had finally come ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ for her to know the ๐ŸŒŸspecial secret๐ŸŒŸ about animals ๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿท๐Ÿ’• This was the night something changed in her forever ๐ŸŒˆ

Now, because the little girl was far, far away from the UK ๐Ÿฆ„ in this new, mystical, land, and although lots of people wanted to be her friend ๐Ÿ‘ญ๐Ÿ‘ซ๐Ÿป and go out and eat animals with her, or dance๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿป at parties ๐ŸŽ‰ and have fun ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿฅ‚ the little girl was feeling lonely inside ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ Something was missing.

She knew that she had everything. She had a lovely home at the top of a tall, castle tower ๐Ÿฐ that reached all the way up to the sky โ›… She had so many friends ๐Ÿ‘ซ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ญ and gold sovereigns ๐Ÿ’ฐ she couldnโ€™t even count them, and her face was known in many places throughout the land of Bollyhood ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿป๐ŸŽฅ and in other Queendoms ๐Ÿ‘‘ and Empires โšœ๏ธ around because she sometimes magically appeared on a screen ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ“บ in front of people when they pressed the enchanted button that brought her to life.

But still, the little girl knew something was missing. She was missing the ๐ŸŒŸ special secret ๐ŸŒŸ She just didnโ€™t know it yet.

The night ๐ŸŒƒ of her birthday ๐ŸŽ‚ was drawing to a close. A handsome, little Bollyhood prince ๐Ÿคด๐Ÿป had taken her out dancing ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿป at a grand ball ๐ŸŽ‰. He was dropping her home, when all of a sudden, the prince halted the carriage ๐Ÿš˜ in the middle of the thoroughfare. He alighted and called to the little girl, โ€œLook ๐Ÿ‘€ little girl, thereโ€™s something there!โ€

Lo and behold, in the middle of the night ๐ŸŒƒ in the empty boulevard, hiding underneath another carriage ๐Ÿš™ and peering out with frightened, round, liquid eyes ๐Ÿฅบ was a little dog with a golden, soft, shiny coat, and big floppy ears ๐Ÿถ

Such a pup was strange for these parts, for, it wore a collar and looked well kept, much unlike the wild hounds ๐Ÿ• that roamed freely in the land. The little prince looked worried ๐Ÿ™Ž๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ for the poor little thing had no defence if its fate met with one of those hounds that night.

So, he opened the carriage door ๐Ÿš˜ and the little dog lit up ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿ˜ Unable to contain his excitement at being rescued, he wagged his little tail ๐Ÿ’“ opened his little mouth wide in smiles ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ and bounded all around inside the carriage with his tongue lolling from side to side ๐Ÿคช in sheer joy. He was clearly used to traveling in carriages and not meant to be on the streets at all.

The little prince ๐Ÿคด๐Ÿป and the little girl ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿป looked around to see where the little dog ๐Ÿถ could have come from ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ but there were no homes in sight ๐Ÿ˜๏ธ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿผ Only empty frames of big, tall, castle towers that had not been entirely built yet ๐Ÿ—๏ธ stood in this part of the land, among lots of rubble and building material ๐Ÿงฑ

โ€œYou shall have to take him for the night, my dear ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ We shall return in the morrow and lay search for the owners of this fine beast ๐Ÿถ then,โ€ said the little prince.

โ€œWhat? ๐Ÿ˜ฒ Oh, hell no bro! ๐Ÿ™…๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธโ€ exclaimed the little girl. โ€œOh fiddlesticks! ๐Ÿ™ˆ โ€ she quickly corrected herself. โ€œErr, I meanโ€ฆ But, my dear, kind gentleman, I know not of the care of these creatures. Perhaps he can be hosted at the palace tonight? The gentleman has dogs ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ• the gentleman, unlike I, is informed of what to do.โ€

โ€œMy dear little girl, the palace dogs are guard dogs and might not be so welcoming ๐Ÿ• ๐Ÿ˜  They may try to harm this poor, innocent chappie ๐Ÿถ ๐Ÿ™‚โ€

So the little girl found herselfย  in her tower in the sky ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿป ๐Ÿฐย  all alone with the little dog ๐Ÿถ The little prince ๐Ÿคด๐Ÿป had dropped them off and had bid them both a goodnight ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป As heโ€™d departed heโ€™d patted her on the shoulder and wished her a โ€œHappy Birthday,โ€ once more, followed by a telling smile and, โ€œyouโ€™ll be alrightโ€ฆ broโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜โ€

๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

The little girl sighed at the little dog looking up at her now with his huge, puppy dog eyes ๐Ÿถ ๐Ÿ‘€ and thought, oh heavens! Now what on Earth is one to do with this creature. This thing had better not go peepee on my furniture.
